Cities4Life wants to provide web-based, sidewalk counseling training through the “What Would You Say?” posts. Not only is this good practice for thinking on your feet during everyday encounters you might have with people who oppose your worldview, but it is also good training for those who want to do Frontline Ministry outside of abortion mills. And remember, scripture addresses the root of these problems.
What would you say to Tracy?
“I know that I should get involved in pro-life ministry, but I don’t want to cause more grief and pain for those around me who are suffering from past abortions.”
Some Questions You Can Pose to Tracy
Shouldn’t the fact that abortion causes so much emotional harm, cause us to want to become involved so that others are spared from this hurt?
How does it help our post-abortive friends if we just sweep this issue under the rug and pretend that it doesn’t exist?
Have you considered that pro-life ministry is in no way insensitive to the hurts of post-abortive mothers and fathers? In fact, there are many resources available within the pro-life community that we can refer them to in order to get the help and biblical counseling that they need.
After the appropriate repentance and healing has taken place, wouldn’t pro-life ministry be a great way to get your post-abortive friends involved in helping other women whose shoes they were once in?
Though some may object to pro-life ministry or misunderstand our hearts for this ministry, does that absolve us from obeying God when He has commanded us to protect the defenseless unborn?
